SWEDISH MASSAGE: 60 Minutes $59 / 90 Minutes $75 Commonly offered and best-known type of massage. If it's your first time, Swedish is the perfect place to start. During Swedish massage, oil or lotion is used to facilitate smooth, gliding strokes called effleurage. Other massage techniques include kneading, friction, and stretching. Swedish uses both gentle and moderate pressure to promote relaxation, easing muscle tension and stress. Generally during Swedish massage you undress to your comfort level and relax underneath a towel or sheet. The therapist uncovers only the part of the body being worked on, a technique called "draping".
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE: 60 Minutes $85 A massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish, but the pressure will be more intense. It is a more focused massage, working to release chronic muscle tension or knots also known as "adhesions."
SWEDISH & THERAPEUTIC COMBINATION MASSAGE: 60 Minutes $65 / 90 Minutes $80 For healing purposes, isolated pressure & trigger point therapy.
HOT STONE MASSAGE: 70 Minutes $70 / 90 Minutes $85 A specialty massage that uses smooth heated stones of different sizes of a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. The heat is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release. Before you arrive, the stones are sanitized and heated in 120 to 150 degree water. During the massage, the body is warmed by traditional Swedish massage while holding the heated stones. As the stones cool, they are replaced with others. The stones may also be placed at specific points along your spine, palms of hand, or even between toes to improve the flow of energy in your body. A bit more expensive than basic Swedish because it requires more preparation and clean-up.

Sports massage is mainly for stimulation and circulation. Using therapy to break down adhesions (knots in the muscles), stretching, increasing range of motion. There are four types of sports massage:
PRE-EVENT MASSAGE: Stimulating massage before an event, directed toward parts of the body that will be involved in the exertion.
POST-EVENT MASSAGE: Given an hour or two after the event, relaxing and conditioning the body's muscle tissue.
RESTORATIVE MASSAGE: Given during training to allow the athlete to train harder and with less injury.
REHABILITATIVE MASSAGE: Aimed at alleviating pain due to injury and returning the body to good health. Sports Massage is a good choice if you have a specific problem, for instance, a tender knee from running, strained hamstring or gluteus muscles.
FOOT REFLEXOLOGY: 30 Minutes $30 Reflexology is a wonderful tool for relaxation and transformation. This ancient technique dates back over 5,000 years and has proven to affect the entire body, just by working on the feet! Reflexology deals with the principle reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all of the organs and systems in the body. These points are worked on in a generally pleasant manner while you relax.
